FAQ

Got a question? Take a look at our FAQ below or contact us at events@waterbear.org.uk.

  • Our venue is 18+ for most events. However, we occasionally host daytime showcases for young people and families, as well as Under-18s open mics. If you're unsure, please check individual event listings, as age restrictions will be specified.

  • The only wheelchair-accessible part of the venue is the reception space at the front. The main bar and stage/audience areas can only be accessed via a set of stairs.

The archways linking the bar and stage/audience area pose no access issues, as they are wide enough for easy movement.

Toilets are located at the rear of the venue via a set of stairs. The WaterBear Venue does not have accessible toilets.

Entry from street level to the front of the venue is via a slope. Brighton Council has advised us that, due to its gradient, the slope is not fully DDA compliant.

  • Tickets are available on each event listing over on our Gigs and Events page. While promoters use various ticket sites for distribution, some tickets may also be available at the door. Please check the event listings for more details.

  • We don’t have regular opening hours and typically open only for events. Check our Gigs and Events page to find out when we are open!

  • Please head over to our Venue Hire page for futher details on booking the venue for an event.
